Leuralla stands in 12 acres of glorious mountain gardens, laid out at the turn of the 19th-20th century. The mature rare conifers, beeches, oaks and maples make a backdrop to the seasonal plantings. The Leuralla Toy & Railway Museum is home to one of the world’s largest collections of pre and post war toys, featuring tin plate trains, planes and automobiles, extensive model railway layouts, lead soldiers and figures, dolls and teddybears – childhood favourites including the only permanent collection of Barbie – 1959 to present.
